Week 42 - Speaking test preparation
Mon, Tue, Wed Oct 20, 21, 22 speaking preparation plan
You have today Monday, tomorrow Tuesday, and Wednesday to complete the work assigned here
Click here to find your own personal Pirate Pad
I have created a Pirate Pad work space for each of you so that when you record your description of a video
I can write what you say in that space and you can correct it and improve it.
(let me know when you have recorded audio)
Your teachers have also created 4 Hot Potatoes exercises based on recordings of samples modeling what you might say when you take your speaking test. If you listen to these and work the exercises, this will help you think of things to say and with vocabulary, verb tenses, and the kind of language you should use in your descriptions
You can review all the vocabulary you are expected to know in the course here
http://efan101.pbworks.com/w/page/85120366/45-EFA-N101#VocabularyrecycleforspeakingtestsOxfordEnglishforAviation
Finally, watch any video and answer these questions in your PiratePad
1. Who is taking the picture, and from where?
2. What kind of plane(s) is (are) involved?
3. What do you see here? What is happening?
4. What was the pilot trying to do?
5. What went wrong?
6. What would you do if you were the pilot?
7. What happened in the end?
8. Was this a good outcome? Why or why not?
I will find your work in your Pirate Pad
Sunday Oct 19
